Convenient yet private location. *Safe&secure. * 4 guests max (2 in the tent) ** Bring your own tent for 2 xtra ppl ** Adults 18 & over only **No pets 10x10 canvas tent, 6'-6" high, 8" memory foam comfy twin beds, night stand & lantern. *Provided: sheets, pillows & light blankets, and handwarmers. *If it will be cold, bring a sleeping bag, etc. SHOWER & clean outhouse on site Come unwind & make memories!!

Just show up and enjoy! All set up, furnished and ready for you. 2 xtra guests allowed. They must bring their own tent or other sleeping arrangement, or they may sleep on the outside stargazer bed provided. ** This site has a nice private feel and a primo view of the Chisos mountains in the national park where you can see the often stunning sunrise right from your pillow. **Two vehicles max at this site. *A picnic table, rock firepit with cooking grate and large cooler are provided. *Clean shared outhouse and SHOWER about 200 ft away.

Important! YOU MUST FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS IN YOUR RESERVATION TO GET HERE. *GPS is not reliable here! My road is not in navigation apps! Screenshot the directions while you have cell service. *THE SIGN WHERE YOU TURN into the campground IS IN THE PHOTOS. You travel 1 mile when you turn off the hwy before you get to this sign. Access to the campground is a mile and a half of mild to moderate pretty bumpy uneven dirt roads. 4x4 not required, *but you will need high clearance*

Thank you. *No collecting firewood alive or dead on the property as this creates erosion and disrupts the fragile ecosystem. *BURN BAN INFO: *SMALL* CAMPFIRES IN THE FIREPIT ARE ALLOWED PER THE COUNTY ORDINANCE, when it's not windy.. Firewood available at the Cottonwood grocery store. **ADULTS ONLY, 18 and over. **No pets are permitted on the property *Blue trash dumpster available in my driveway. All trash must be bagged, breakdown boxes please, thank you. -Please be considerate of other guests * When arriving or setting up camp after dark, please be considerate about shining your headlights on other campsites. Thank you on behalf of the other guests. *No excessively bright lights please, as this affects the enjoyment and stargazing for everyone on the property. Red or green light is not a nuisance and doesn't affect stargazing. - Leave no trace. - Tread lightly. -Respect the land. -Stay on the roads. - No fireworks, gunfire or hunting. - Do not move or drive around any of the parking barriers. - Generators may not be used - Do not take anything from the property. Thank you. *No outside visitors without prior permission please. This is to protect the privacy and security of all guests. -Quiet hours 9 pm to 9 am. Sound carries very far in the desert. Convenient location! Close to Everything! The view of the Chisos mountains from camp is about the best around. Front and center is Emory Peak, the highest point in the park at 7860 ft. Gas station, restaurant, laundromat, bank, only 1.5 miles from camp. Grocery store is 3 miles. Entrance to BBNP is 5 miles. The state park is 15 miles away on hwy 170. Terlingua ghostown is 5 miles.

Your assigned campsite, the outhouse/shower, and 15 acres, mostly east and south towards the Chisos mountains. *For your conveince there is a trash dumpster in my driveway. *Please be respectful of other guests and don't enter another campsite without their permission.. Thank you and enjoy.

C'était génial, je suis venu ici avec ma copine et nous n'avons eu AUCUN problème. L'endroit était magnifique, surtout le ciel nocturne. Un petit animal a gratté notre tente la dernière nuit, mais quand on dort sous tente, c'est normal. Globalement, 10/10. Was awesome came here with my girlfriend had ZERO problems. The place was beautiful, especially the night sky. Had a critter poking at our tent on the last night but when staying in a tent that's to be expected. Overall 10/10

Le meilleur rapport qualité-prix ! Les lits sont super confortables et les équipements sont parfaits pour ceux qui ne campent pas souvent. Cette douche fait vraiment du bien après une journée de randonnée. PS : Il y a un excellent réseau si vous avez T-Mobile. Best bang for your buck! The beds are super comfortable and the amenities are perfect for people who don’t camp often. That shower hits different after a day of hiking. Ps there is great signal if you have T-Mobile.

Aventure de camping amusante et facile pour un citadin... L'endroit de Mel est un excellent point de départ pour les activités de la journée à Terlingua et au parc national de Big Bend. C'était une expérience unique de découvrir le désert et les étoiles la nuit, puis de se réveiller avec un lever de soleil spectaculaire. Fun & easy camping adventure for a city slicker …. Mel’s place is a great jumping off location for daytime activities in Terlingua & Big Bend NP. It was a unique experience to experience the desert & stars at night then wake up to a spectacular sunrise.

L'endroit de Mel était parfait pour notre week-end de randonnée. Très privé, mais pourtant tout près de la ville et du parc. Vue magnifique, tente charmante avec des lits confortables et la douche la plus mignonne ! Nous avons passé un moment incroyable et aimerions beaucoup revenir bientôt :) Mel's place was perfect for our weekend hiking trip. Super private, yet super close to the town and park. Gorgeous views, lovely tent with cozy beds and the cutest shower setup! We had an incredible time and would love to return soon :)
